While reflecting on life, I created the piece below to show how today’s challenges can be correlated with timeless wisdom. The dual battle: the neural tug-of-war upstairs and the organ orchestra downstairs.

The Chariot Within

Arjuna, the conscious flame,
chooses the path, steadfast, untamed.
Krishna, the silent guiding voice,
whispers the truth, teaching dharma’s choice.

Wheels of fire, mitochondria bright,
turning darkness into light.
Horses of muscle, bone, and might,
carry the body through day and night.

When mind, energy, and strength align,
the chariot flows with power divine.
Mahabharata’s timeless art—
the science of body, soul, and heart.

Translation:
We are fighting two battles in today’s Mahabharata:

  • One within the mind (conscious vs. subconscious).
  • One within the body (musculoskeletal, organs, energy).

Just as the chariot needs both Arjuna and Krishna, wheels and horses,
our life’s chariot runs only when mental balance and physical health move together.
