I had written an article on Vitamin D sometime back, in which I posed several questions. Now, I can provide answers based on insights gained from a recent study which also shows magical effects on cholesterol number in such a short span of time while eating ghee and oil (fats) in similar proportions as earlier. It requires a separate article by itself. Lets focus on vitamin d in this post:
Sunlight and Vitamin D Deficiency: I initially questioned the association between sunlight exposure and Vitamin D levels, as individuals with substantial sun exposure often exhibited a deficiency in Vitamin D. Upon examining a five-week study with limited sunlight most of this time, it became evident that Vit D supplementation played a crucial role in elevating the subject’s Vit D levels.

Notably, dietary habits remained consistent, and no new foods were introduced during this period, with a potential minor contribution from mushrooms.
Mitochondrial Health and Vitamin D: In investigating the link between mitochondrial health and Vitamin D, I found that focusing on improving mitochondrial health had a positive impact on Vitamin D levels. The subject’s weight loss, a result of the training aimed at enhancing mitochondrial health, suggests a correlation, although quantifying the exact influence remains challenging.
Supplementation Effects on Vitamin D Levels: I inquired about the effectiveness of Vitamin D supplementation in my article, and the timeframe required for noticeable improvements. The study indicated that during the five-week period, Vitamin D supplementation significantly increased the subject’s Vitamin D levels. Its particularly noteworthy as dietary habits remained constant, and no new foods were introduced.
Role of Vit D in Anti-Inflammation Regulation: Exploring the role of Vit D in anti-inflammatory regulation, the study demonstrated a substantial decrease in C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation. This decrease coincided with an increase in Vitamin D levels, providing confirmation of the interconnection between Vitamin D and anti-inflammatory processes.
In conclusion, the study outcomes shed light on the effectiveness of Vitamin D supplementation in the absence of sunlight exposure, the positive impact of efforts to improve mitochondrial health on Vitamin D levels, and the confirmed link between Vitamin D and anti-inflammatory regulation.
